Ponderings Along the Pathway...BLESSINGS

Welcome to this month's edition of Ponderings Along the Pathway, an exclusive feature over here on the Path of Positivity. The purpose of this column is to continue with the goal of this blog which is to create a space "designed to inspire, nurture and provide support for the soul by creating a positive path to follow, one project or post at a time". Providing some motivational introspection on the themes we cover each challenge period is one way of achieving this goal.

This month it is all about BLESSINGS and PAT is here to share her thoughts on the subject...

My dad always said that we were part Irish - our big toes! He meant that there was just a smidge of Irish in me and my sisters. Taking my Irish heritage to heart, I've made a list of Irish Blessings (and a few holiday ones) for you this month. May you find one that fills your heart with love and thankfulness, recognizing your own personal blessings. Happy Holidays!

A sunbeam to warm you,

A moonbeam to charm you,

A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.

May the sun shine, all day long,

everything go right, and nothing wrong.

May those you love bring love back to you,

and may all the wishes you wish come true!

May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it.

May the lights of Hanukkah usher in 

a better world for all humankind.  

May you have warm words on a cool evening, a full moon on a dark night, 

and a smooth road all the way to your door.

May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks

May your heart be as light as a song

May each day bring you bright

Happy hours that stay with you all the year long.

As you slide down the banister of life, 

may the splinters never point your way.

May you always have walls for the winds,

a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire,

laughter to cheer you, those you love near you,

and all your heart might desire.
